Rihanna Wins Worst Supporting Actress at Razzie Awards
Rihanna was recognized for her debut film role this awards season, but probably not in the way she would have hoped.
The pop star won a Golden Raspberry Award, or "Razzie," for Worst Supporting Actress for her role in Battleship. Rih Rih kept company with the cast and crew of Twilight, who swept the Razzies with a staggering eleven awards. Annual favorite Adam Sandler kept up his, uh, winning streak by nabbing awards for Worst Actor and Worst Screenplay for his flop Jack & Jill.
But Rihanna shouldn't sweat the unfavorable recognition too much. Oscar winner Halle Berry also famously won a Razzie in 2005 for her role in Catwoman. The A-list actress won over fans worldwide when she graciously accepted her Razzie in person, mocking herself during her acceptance speech and proving she has a great sense of humor.
Mariah Carey, Prince and Eddie Murphy are just some of the other celebrities who have won Razzie Awards.
