Wade Robson Sends Cease-and-Desist Letter to Joe Jackson

MJ's accuser says Jackson is spreading lies about him to media.

The Jackson family has shown a united front against accusations lobbed at Michael Jackson by famed choreographer Wade Robson, but they may soon be muzzled by Robson's attorneys.
The So You Think You Can Dance? star has issued a cease-and-desist order against MJ's father, Joe Jackson, TMZ reports, accusing the patriarch of slander. The elder Jackson has spoken on several occasions to media outlets, including TMZ, saying that Robson is part of a giant conspiracy against his son, and that Robson was paid to lie about his relationship with the late pop icon.
Jackson's attorneys have pointed a finger at events-giant AEG, with whom the estate is embroiled in a multi-billion lawsuit, as the force behind Robson's accusations.
The cease-and-desist reads, "Your statement is particularly reprehensible in light of the fact that [Wade] has only recently been able to come forward which is so typically characteristic and tragic for so many survivors of sexual abuse." It continues, "Any trier of fact would conclude your statement was malicious, intended to further injure our client."
Robson's attorneys vow they will "take any and all appropriate legal measures to vehemently protect the truth and commence legal action."
The charges of molestation and sexual abuse leveled at MJ by Robson, who claims Jackson molested him between the ages of 7 and 14, seems to have brought some members of the Jackson family closer together. Jermaine Jackson also spoke out in support of his late brother recently.
Robson, who testified in favor of Jackson in his infamous trial more than a decade ago, is reversing his testimony and attempting to sue the Jackson estate for undisclosed damages.
