The Emmy nominations were announced Thursday morning and the Gladiators are happy — Scandal received two nominations. Kerry Washington earned a nod for Outstanding Lead Actress for her portrayal of Olivia Pope in the hit series. If she wins, she'll become the first African-American to win an Emmy in that category. Dan Bucatinsky also earned a nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor for playing James Novack in the show. Unfortunately, Scandal wasn't nominated for Outstanding Drama Series. Be sure to check out Scandal when it comes to BET this Summer.

Other nominations include Sofia Vergara for Outstanding Supporting Actress in Modern Family, Justin Timberlake for Outstanding Guest Actor for hosting Saturday Night Live and Alfre Woodard for Outstanding Supporting Actress In a Miniseries or a Movie for her portrayal of Ouiser in Lifetime's Steel Magnolias.
