Usher's Son Rushed to ICU

The five-year-old is hospitalized after pool accident.

Usher's son has been rushed to the hospital following a pool accident at his Atlanta home, TMZ reports.

Usher Raymond V reportedly got his hand stuck in the pool drain after trying to retrieve a toy. While he was being supervised by an aunt and a maid at the time, the adults were unsuccessful at trying to free the 5-year-old's hand from the drain. But two audio-visual contractors working in the house, dove in and freed Usher's son. One of them gave him CPR and he was rushed to the hospital.

The R&B singer wasn't home at the time of the incident, but arrived in time to ride with his son to the hospital. He was met there by his ex-wife and Usher V's mom, Tameka Foster. Thankfully, doctors claim the child should be fine.

The incident must have been particularly traumatizing for the former couple following the death of Foster's 11-year-old son (and Usher's stepson) Kyle Glover after a boating accident last year.

Usher Raymond V is being treated at an Atlanta hospital and will, hopefully, make a full recovery.
