Evander Holyfield's Son: My Dad "Does Not Judge" Gay People

The legendary boxer recently said homosexuality "is a choice."

Evander Holyfield's son is coming to his defense after the heavyweight champ came under fire for comments he made about gays on UK Celebrity Big Brother. Holyfield, who asserted to his cast mate that homosexuality is a "choice" that could be "fixed by doctors," was reprimanded by the show's producers on camera.

Now, Ewin Holyfield, the boxer's adult son, tells TMZ, "My dad is the most loving and caring person you will ever meet. He treats everyone like a human being, even if they are homosexual." The young man also says he has a gay uncle on his mother's side, who the retired athlete "treats like a brother."

Ewin adds, "My dad feels that being gay is a choice, and naturally that's how things work. You cannot procreate and make a baby with two women, or two men. But at the same time, my dad is not going to judge someone for their sexual orientation."

Holyfield, a self-proclaimed devout Christian, has yet to comment on the controversy.
