Master P Responds to Ex-Wife Claiming She’s on Welfare

Rap mogul decries charges that he’s a deadbeat dad.

A week after Master P’s ex-wife claimed that she was struggling to take care of their four children and was on welfare, the former No Limit boss responded with a stinging statement. And his son Romeo even weighed in.

Last week TMZ spoke with Sonja Miller, who informed them while Master P (Percy Miler) is worth $200 million, she and her offspring were cut off from his fortunes and now live in poverty. Well, the hip hop mogul gave his rebuttal, issuing a statement via Plugged Entertainment magazine. “I take great care of all my kids,” he wrote. “All of their needs are being met in abundance. I come from the ghetto, I changed my life but she didn’t want to grow with me so we’re not together.”

Master P went on to clarify that while he is not angry with his ex-wife, he does pray for her. Moreover, his statement was followed up by words from his eldest son, Romeo. “My father is a good man,” he wrote. “My parents are not together, but he provides a roof, transportation and all of her living expenses.”

Romeo ended by saying that, honestly, after mom hands him all their bills, he hands them over to dad. “She is blessed,” he concluded. “She lives in a guard-gated community and drives luxury vehicles.” No word yet on Sonja Miller's response.
