Kevin Costner: President Obama Hasn't Been Good for Business

The Draft Day star talks politics, Whitney Houston and his new film.

Published April 9, 2014

After taking a break from Hollywood for a couple of years, Kevin Costner is making a comeback of sorts in his new film Draft Day. Costner, who plays a NFL team manager who bets everything to build a winning lineup, talks to us about taking risks and gives a scorecard for the country's manager in chief, President Barack Obama.

Costner, who campaigned for Obama in 2008, admits the president's policies have been a bit of a letdown, especially when it comes to business. But, he says, "it's the hardest job in the world, and I believe he's trying to stand tall."

Plus, we talk to Costner's co-star Jennifer Garner about working with Halle Berry to pass a landmark anti-paparazzi bill in California ("I bow down to Halle Berry," says Garner. "This [bill] wouldn't have been possible without her."), as well as Draft Day stars (and NFL players) Terry Crews and Arian Foster about their own draft days.

Finally, we finally get the final word from Costner about the long-gestating Bodyguard remake and the sequel that Costner lobbied for but, sadly, never happened.

Check out our exclusive interviews with Kevin Costner, Jennifer Garner, Terry Crews and Arian Foster below, and see Draft Day in theaters on Friday, April 11!
