The former First Daughter has welcomed her first daughter! Chelsea Clinton gave birth to a baby girl on Saturday, September 27, the new mom announced on Twitter. It's the first child for Clinton and her husband, investor Marc Mezvinsky.
"Marc and I are full of love, awe and gratitude as we celebrate the birth of our daughter, Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky," the elated mom, 34, wrote. The baby girl is the first grandchild of Bill Clinton and Hilary Clinton, both of whom retweeted their daughter's happy announcement as soon as it was made.
Chelsea was last seen on September 24 at a Clinton Global Initiative event, where she spoke about why it was a good time to bring a child into the world. "I certainly feel all the better whether it's a girl or a boy that she or he will grow up in world filled with so many strong, young female leaders," she said. "I just hope that I will be as good a mom to my child and hopefully children as my mom was to me."
