Wendy Williams Earns First Daytime Emmy Nods

Steve Harvey, Michael Strahan also nominated.

Published April 1, 2015

Congratulations are in order for Wendy Williams! The queen of talk has been nominated for two Daytime Emmy Awards, her first nods for hosting. Williams is recognized for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host and Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show for The Wendy Williams Show. The popular daytime series was nominated previously in technical categories, like lighting and hair and makeup. In 2011, the show won Outstanding Achievement in Hairstyling, but it was not awarded to Williams. Ironically, Wendy Williams recently said she'll never win an Emmy, however her chances are fairly high with the talk show being a consistent ratings hit. You can catch Wendy weekdays at midnight right here on BET.

Steve Harvey is also a multiple nominee this year, with nods in the Outstanding Informational Talk Show and Outstanding Informational Talk Show Host categories for The Steve Harvey Show. He is also nominated for Outstanding Game Show Host for Family Feud.

Live With Kelly and Michael hosts Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan will also compete for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host.
