Sorry Guys: Nia Long Is Officially Off the Market
Here's some news that is sure to break hearts across the country: Nia Long is engaged, People reports. The actress will tie the knot with her longtime boyfriend, former NBA player Ime Udoka.
Long, 44, was recently spotted out with Udoka, 37, rocking a diamond engagement ring. The pair, who welcomed their son Kez Sunday in 2011, have been together for five years. Long also has a 14-year-old son, Massai, from a previous relationship with Massai Dorsey.
The Boyz n the Hood actress, coveted by everyone from Jay Z to Snoop Dogg to Freddie Gibbs, is a shining example of "good things happen to those who don't wait around for a man to put a ring on it."
"I think that women who are extremely driven to success, ambitious, I think they get to a point in their lives where they're like, 'Uh oh. I am 30-something years old, and I don't have a husband and I don't have children yet and what does that mean?' I think what it means is stay in your course because it's going to happen when it's supposed to happen," Long said to Rolling Out in 2013. "It doesn't happen for everyone at the same time, so you can't compare your life to someone else's."
