Tracy Morgan Coming Out of Hiding in First Interview Since Crash

Actor will appear on Today show this Monday.

Tracy Morgan has his health, significantly more wealth thanks to a settlement with Wal-Mart, and is finally ready to return to television after a year out of the limelight. The actor will give his first interview since the fatal crash that nearly took his life last June, and is scheduled to sit down with Matt Lauer on the Today show Monday.
Morgan will be joined on the show by his lawyer, Benedict Morelli, who has been his mouthpiece in the media for the past year, while the 30 Rock star has been recovering and rehabilitating.

On Wednesday, Morgan confirmed that Wal-Mart had settled the lawsuit he brought against the mega-retailer for the part it played in the June 7 fatal accident that left him with head trauma and several broken bones, and his friend James McNair dead. The crash occurred when a Wal-Mart truck, driven by a man who admitted he hadn't slept in 24 hours, crashed into his limo van on the New Jersey Turnpike.
McNair's family and two other passengers who suffered serious injuries were also plaintiffs in the lawsuit, and reportedly received settlements from Wal-Mart.
Hopefully Monday's interview will give us an indication of when Morgan will return to the screen and stage. The actor and comedian has been off the grid for the better part of a year, and even missed participating in the 40th anniversary episode of Saturday Night Live.
