Larry Wilmore on the Charleston Shooting: 'This Is a Racially Motivated Attack'
On last night's episode of The Nightly Show, host Larry Wilmore candidly spoke about the tragic shooting in Charleston, South Carolina. After explaining that the heavy subject is not what he usually covers on the show, he delved into the story like only he can, speaking specifically on the racially malicious intent of the killer.
"I know we talk about race a lot on this show, but I know we can all agree this time that this is a racially motivated attack, but also it couldn't be clearer when it came out of the killer's mouth," he said.
His statement was made in response to Fox News' coverage of the situation, which overlooked that it was a hate crime and claimed it was an attack on Christians. "Even with all of that evidence, on a day like today, Fox News just makes my f*****g head explode."
