No More Rosie Perez on The View

The Oscar nominee will not return next season as the show recasts again.

The View is changing yet again. Weeks after giving Raven-Symoné a full-time seat at the table, the morning talk show announced it will say goodbye to Rosie Perez at the end of this season.
The news follows Rosie O'Donnell's departure and is accompanied by rumors that Nicole Wallace may also soon bounce. The three panelists joined the show together in 2014, though this was a second stint for O'Donnell.

"Our friend Rosie Perez has decided to leave the show at the conclusion of this season to pursue full time her love for acting," wrote executive producer Bill Wolff in a memo to staffers. "Stepping into the role of talk show host at the same time she has been starring on Broadway has been incredibly impressive. And beyond being an enormously talented performer, Rosie is a dedicated advocate who has brought passion and insight to the panel every day."
One co-host who doesn't seem to be going anywhere is Whoopi Goldberg. The Oscar winner has been the one constant in a constantly-revolving door of hosts over the past several years. No announcements have been made as to who will replace Perez, but we imagine guest-hosting just got a lot more interesting for celebrities looking for a cushy gig.
