Would You Pay $760 for a Bottle of Jay Z's New Champagne?

Only 3,000 bottles of the Armand de Brignac's 'Ace of Spades' blanc des noir are expected to be made.

Jay Z's no stranger to doing it big in the business world, so the large scale of his latest venture should be anything but surprising. According to Bloomberg, Jigga's new all-pinot Armand de Brignac Ace of Spades Champagne is retailing for some major bucks — $760, to be exact.

This summer, the luxury champagne was rolled out at a wine insiders' event. Fans of the rapper may remember the Armand de Brignac Ace of Spades blanc des noirs brand was born out of a feud between Hov and Cristal Champagne. This particular release is the newest exclusive launch from Armand de Brignac, which Jay Z bought last year. The hefty price tag is probably due to the design of the bottle alone, which is made of grandiose pewter and is stamped with a large spade symbol.

Bloomberg, which reported on the launch and taste-tested the champagne, reported only 3,000 of the bottles will be produced. The difference from other similarly-branded bottles is that this new, more expensive round is a "blanc de noirs" that is made only from pinot grapes.

Consumers who want to grab a bottle of the fizz will be in for a hunt as it will not be sold at any of the rapper's chain of 40/40 clubs, which serve other vintages from his company.

After a long feud with the folks at Cristal, Jay Z sought the ultimate revenge and bought a stake in Armand de Brignac. Late last year, it was announced that the iconic MC had bought the rest of the company. Will you buy a bottle?
