With Lamar Odom's current condition, it's kind of a bummer he will be spending his 36th birthday in the hospital, but thanks to his wife, Khloé Kardashian, he will have a reason to smile. According to People, the reality star is planning a small birthday party in Lamar's hospital room at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Khloé reportedly reached out to the NBA icon's former teammates, and two of his best friends who aren't basketball players. Lamar's close buddy Kobe Bryant is currently on the road with the the Los Angeles Lakers but will send a gift and connect with him through FaceTime. Ron Artest will also reportedly take the technological route in wishing Lamar a happy birthday.

A few of the Los Angeles Clippers players are set to come by the hospital after their practice to wish Lamar well.

"It's something very small and very short but will make him feel amazing," a source said. "Then Khloé will be with him for the rest of the day... It's just a very small group of people because Lamar cannot handle too much stimulus, but the doctors are allowing a small group for a short time on his birthday."

Lamar was hospitalized more than three weeks ago after being found unresponsive with drugs in his system at a Nevada brothel. Khloé, who has been making medical decisions for her husband, called off their divorce on October 21.
