The legendary weatherman is fighting back.

Al Roker was recently a victim of racial discrimination and he wants the world to know that this shouldn't be tolerated. The Today show veteran, 61, tweeted about being ignored by a Manhattan taxi driver while waiting with his son. After the driver refused to stop for Al and his son, Nick, both African-American, he stopped for a white patron a few feet down.

What really set the iconic weatherman off was that 13-year-old Nick had to witness the blatant discrimination firsthand.

After sharing what happened, Al received some kind words from some of his followers but was slammed by others for pulling the race card. To prove that wasn't the case, he explained that the driver actually stopped then pulled off after realizing he was Black.

The weatherman filed an official complaint after the incident. states that passengers can file a complaint if a driver refuses a request for pickup, especially based on the grounds of race.

"It is against the law for a taxi driver on duty to refuse to pick you up because of race, disability, or destination within New York City," it reads.
