Michael B. Jordan is pumped up and ready to go for his role as Adonis Creed in the latest installment of the Rocky franchise, Creed. The actor re-teams with his Fruitvale Station director, Ryan Coogler, for the project, and tells us the best part of making the film was watching a Hollywood icon at work.
"It's like the legend of Sly," says Jordan of his co-star — and the original Rocky Balboa — Sylvester Stallone. "His range as an actor is humbling to watch."
Jordan, who was already recognizable for his work on Friday Night Lights and The Wire, became a household name with Fruitvale Station, and says he's growing in craft with every subsequent film. "Everytime I step on set, I feel like I improve myself," he says. "It's a constant journey. It's a never settling kind of attitude." One big part of that attitude, he says, is working with a director like Coogler. "Our shorthand is incredible. He's a brother. We came up with the same upbringing, family is really important to us," he says.
