Trey Songz is becoming a Bad Boy, and not the record label kind.
WWE Studios and Lionsgate’s Codeblack Films has announced that the R&B singer signed on to star in their upcoming action thriller Brother’s Blood.
The Grammy nominee will portray a cop who attempts to stop a recently released convict with a vendetta against his childhood friends.
The movie will be the first in a multi-picture deal between WWE Studios and Codeblack. “[Director] John Pogue and Trey Songz are exceptionally talented artists and the ideal creative team to shepherd our first co-production with Codeblack," WWE Studios president Michael Luisi said.
This sounds like Trey's biggest role to date. He previously co-starred in Baggage Claim and Texas Chainsaw 3D in 2013. Brother’s Blood is scheduled to start production in New Orleans this January.
