Find Out How Instagram Could Cost Gilbert Arenas Custody of His Kids

He's in big trouble over a posted video.

Published December 30, 2015

A 15-second video posted by Gilbert Arenas to Instagram could have major consequences. Last week, the NBA player shared a clip of his 8-year-old son riding on the hood of a moving vehicle — a Polaris Slingshot — at about 15MPH.

Arenas's ex-wife Laura Govan took major issue with the video, which Arenas has since deleted, and filed court documents trying to take custody away from Arenas on grounds that he's a reckless parent. The couple have four children together. Govan already has primary custody of the kids, but she's asking the court to significantly reduce the amount of time Arenas can spend with them and also enforce some rules to keep the kids out of danger.

A source close to Govan adds, "This is just the straw that broke the camel's back. He's done many other things."

The custody move could be the straw that breaks the camel's back on Govan and Arenas's already contentious divorce. Arenas sued Govan earlier this year for making "false accusations" that he infected her with sexually transmitted diseases as part of a revenge plot. Govan also accused Arenas of fathering her Basketball Wives co-star Draya Michele's child.
