Beyoncé may have found a way to get her hopes for an Oscar and her most famous asset (other than her voice, of course) on the same page.
The singer is reportedly writing a biopic on Saartjie Baartman, a South African woman who was put on display in the 1800s for her large buttocks.
Baartman, known as Hottentot Venus, was believed to be just 26 when she died, after being sold into slavery and exhibited in Europe. Before her death, she brought a court case claiming she was made to perform against her will, but sadly she lost.
"She now wants to write a screenplay that gains her respect — and hopefully awards — from the film industry, and thinks Saartjie's story could be her ticket," a source tells The Sun. "Winning an Academy Award would mean everything to her, and she's a woman who is used to getting exactly what she wants."
No one from the pop star's camp has confirmed the rumor.
