Chris Rock Gives Major BET Awards Plug at the Oscars

The host even added "Black Lives Matter."

Chris Rock's hosting performance at the 88th Annual Academy Awards was anything but a snoozefest. With his constant theme of race relations throughout the show, he ended with a bang, giving the ultimate BET Awards endorsement possible.

As the show was about to end, following the announcement of the winners for Best Picture, Rock took the stage for one final send-off. 

"I want to invite everybody here to the BET Awards this summer, and I just want to say good night," he said while everyone applauded. After a few laughs, he quickly added, "Black Lives Matter."

His words sparked a few people on Twitter to voice their opinions on the diversity at awards shows, with political commentator Marc Lamont Hill pointing out that the BET Awards are, in actuality, even more diverse than the Oscars.
