Tyler Perry's taking a break from Black world with a role in an upcoming, big-screen remake of "Star Trek' -- the first gig for the filmmaker outside of his own projects. According to reports, Perry filmed a scene several weeks ago as the head of Starfleet Academy who will oversee an academic hearing regarding Cadet James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) and his cheating in the Kobiyashi Maru simulation.
Hmmm. Is Perry abadoning his mostly Black, Christian female audience with this move, you think? Might he be a little bored by Madea?
