For the past two weeks dogs trotted into the No. 1 spot at the box office, but this week a film based on a video game beat everyone.

"Max Payne," starring Mark Wahlberg, raked in $18 million, followed by "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" finished second with $11.2 million and "The Secret Life of Bees" with $11.1 million. The much hyped flick chronicling the George W. Bush presidency "W" came in fourth, earning $10.6 million.

"Bees," which stars Queen Latifah, Dakota Fanning, Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys and Sophie Okonedo," did very well considering that it played on just under 1,600 screens while "Max Payne," "Chihuahua" and "W" at more than 2,500 theaters.

"Eagle Eye," "Body of Lies," "Quarantine," "Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist," "Sex Drive" and "Nights In Rodanthe" round out the Top 10.
