Chef Hassan Hunt, Personal Chef to Kimora Lee Simmons and co-founder of A-List Catering Company, LLC has an exciting and extensive background in the culinary industry. 

A native of New York, Hassan has a degree in Culinary Arts from the respected Culinary School, Johnson & Wales University.  After graduating in year 2000, Hassan worked with the restaurant Hooligan’s on the Green in Fayetville, New York, a country club located within Green Lakes State Park.  There he planned public events, managed three facilities on the property, and created the daily menu. 

After spending seven years in Upstate New York, he accepted a job as a sous chef on a luxury cruise liner, within six months he was promoted to Executive Chef.  Chef Hunt had the opportunity to travel the globe; he planned menus, managed a crew of 27 and prepared three meals a day for hundreds of passengers eager to taste his bold and energetic cuisine. 

Late 2005, he returned to New York to work with a team of six chefs at the five star Mandarin Oriental’s restaurant Asiate, which specializes in Asian-inspired cuisine.  There he had the opportunity to reconnect with a college roommate and they decided to start a catering business, A-List Catering Company, LLC. 

While networking in New York City with other chefs and business owners, Chef Hunt was presented with the opportunity to become a Personal Chef for Kimora Lee Simmons in 2006.  Chef Hunt travels between New Jersey and Los Angeles with the Simmons Family.

Chef Hunt is currently working on a cookbook that includes recipes that will inspire African Americans to have a more healthy diet.
