With all the buzz about “good hair” and weave, we just had to find out what the fellas had to say! After hearing from the guys, we set the record straight. Here’s what brothers think about women’s hair…
“Good hair” is combed hair. If a comb can run through it, it’s good hair. Whether it’s natural, straight or a weave, a comb has to go through it!” -Oh it sounds like this brother is trying to get his hands in someone’s hair. Most sisters follow the look-but-don’t-touch policy. He better watch it.
“I like my women with straight styles. I am not really attracted to women with natural hair.” -And that’s his choice. Just don’t prejudge women that wear natural styles.
“As a youngin’ I would have said “good hair” is straight or wavy, that so called "Indian" hair. As an adult I think any hair that fits the individual is good hair.” -Good to hear that some men have evolved with time.
“As long as they can keep that kitchen clean…“good hair” is in the eyes of the beholder.” -Even though this guy is referring a lady’s nappy neck hair to a kitchen, we’ll let him off the hook thanks to the last statement.
“I don't care if it's natural or you buy it, it doesn't make a difference to me. Just keep it looking nice.” –I feel him… Amen!
“Why do women cut their hair and then go buy hair?” –Men don’t realize that hair extensions are no longer taboo, they are just like any other accessory. Some days women wear little earrings, then the next day it’s shoulder-length chandeliers. It’s no big deal!
“I don’t trip off hair.” –This statement makes you wonder what do men “trip” about? I’d like to believe they’re passionate about a lady’s personality.
“I don’t mind weave, but I don’t want my girl to wear it.” –So it’s ok to look at it but you don’t want to be in a relationship with it? Well, ok.
“My woman has locs and her hair is beautiful to me and actually one of the first compliments I gave her.” –Aaawwwwww, how sweet!
“I think good hair for a lady is one who can keep it done.” -Most women spend hours and tons of money making sure that their style of choice stays on point. Guys, just be willing to chip in on the salon bill before you start complaining.
