Ford Models is following the trend of celebrating models of color with its newest promotion that features five beauties from different divisions in the agency.

Damaris Lewis, Marquita Pring and Bre Joyner are amongst the beautiful faces, and, even better, the models range from size 4 to 14. Ford reps say it’s all part of a strategy to show the diversity of faces to magazine and runway show bookers.

A spokeswoman told the Huffington post:Following FORD +'s blonde promo, this concept is to show diversity. It is the 2nd in a series of promos to highlight beauty. The inspiration was the breakthrough into fashion of style icons that weren't the norm at that time. It was Bianca Jagger, Diana Ross, Beverly Johnson and Iman. This was a celebration of the models of that era. As the plus models today are breaking ground, this is the nod to the models and their inspirational movement that put Beverly Johnson on the cover of American Vogue in August of 1974. got their hands on the behind-the-scenes preview pictures that show the ladies working it. Take a look and tell us what you think of the concept in the comments below.
