Tyra Banks Invests in New Shopping Site

The Hunt helps shoppers track down hot items they've seen on celebs.

Tyra Banks is expanding her business clout by investing in a new start-up that will make fashion hunting easier. The Hunt was created by techies Tim Weingarten and Simon Peck to help shoppers who've seen a must-have item on a celeb, social media site, or photo actually find the piece and then buy it.

"What I love about The Hunt is that women help other women find their perfect outfit [head-to-toe]," Banks told WWD. "It truly s--ks to discover a great style item but not be able to find and buy it. The Hunt solves that fashion dilemma in a fun and innovative way. I am excited to be part of this new approach to collective retail and styling."

This will be the first investment Banks' company Fierce Capital LLC will support and she isn't just throwing her money into the project. Banks has also given the entrepreneurs tips and advice on how to grow their reach.
