Vogue's list of the "Ten Rising Style Stars of 2014" has been released and the fashion bible has named Ciara, Lupita Nyong'o and Iggy Azalea as the ones to watch in the coming year.
Ever since she came on the scene, Nyong'o has been demanding our attention. The Kenyan-born beauty is pictured in some of her best red carpet moments in Vogue's online slideshow and she's wearing a beautiful black-and-white striped J. Mendel dress in Vogue's January 2014 issue.
"She stole every red-carpet heart this fall with her clean silhouettes, close-cropped coif and ear-to-ear smile. The 12 Years a Slave star brought the same radiance and poise to her wardrobe as her Golden Globe–nominated performance," the publication writes of Nyong'o.
Meanwhile, Ciara is being lauded for her versatile style and we couldn't agree more. She has the ability to go from casual chic to elegant with such ease.
"Not every pop princess could ricochet from a wide-leg Calvin Klein Collection tuxedo one night to wool bouclé Carven the next. Taken under Riccardo Tisci's wing, the R&B star is at her coolest in head-to-toe Givenchy, but is fine-feathered no matter what she wears," Vogue states.
Azalea is another star who knows how to wow regardless of what she pulls from her wardrobe. The typically eccentric rapper caught the attention of Vogue editors for her fearlessness when it comes to fashion saying, "A very different Iggy showed up at the Chloé spring 2014 show this fall ― all buttoned-up pastels, it was a far cry from the foul-mouthed, take-no-prisoners rapper fans see onstage, proving that her sartorial range is as impressive as her music."
