Nicole Richie has been expanding her House of Harlow 1960 jewelry line since launching in 2008 and with her latest collection, the fashionable mother of two is taking things back to the basics.

"It's really important for me as somebody to stay connected to my customer, understand where they're going next," Richie told E! Online at a promotional event for her new House of Harlow jewelry collection. "I really wanted to get back to the essence of what House of Harlow is and bring back some of the designs from the first collection, but do it with a new twist."

Richie, who clearly isn't afraid to play around with her look and hairstyles (she's currently sporting a bright blue 'do), credits her mom for getting her into fashion and style from a young age.

"She never told me I couldn't wear anything of hers no matter how delicate or important it was to her. She always made me feel like what was mine was hers and that's what got me into fashion," Richie said. always gives you the latest fashion and beauty trends, tips and news.
