Dionne Warwick is branching out into fashion design with a new line of active wear. The singer has teamed up with her daughter-in-law Luana Elliott, who is also a personal fitness trainer, to develop a collection of workout gear for the curvy set. Healthy Gal features Brazilian fabric that helps hide and tuck in problem areas while looking stylish.

“Through Healthy Gal, we are developing perfect-fit products for curvy women with ‘real bodies,’” Elliott said. “My clients loved all of the pairs of leggings I wore. I developed a few for the girls, and they fell in love with those, too.”

The collection is currently only available online, but the pair plans to bring their line into brick-and-mortar stores and studios.

“Debbie Allen has a dance studio in Los Angeles and Judith Jamison was the Artistic Director at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. I know both of them. We’re looking into places like those where we know that people will utilize our products,” Warwick said.

The pieces retail from $49 to $89 and don’t expect to just see leggings and tops in their shop. Healthy Gal has also offers jewelry with inspirational messages such as “Power,” “Happy,” “Faith,” and “Bliss.” Bracelets, which retail for $152, are made from sterling silver beads, faceted Pyrite, and denim cords.
