Usher Encourages Young People to Register to Vote

With the presidential elections drawing near and so many issues at stake, it's more important than ever for young people to make their voices heard. Usher is stepping in to play a role in reaching out and encouraging young voters to drop by the polling booths in November.

"This is when your voice would matter, this is the time that you should engage, this is the time when you can make a difference," the singer says in a video message on "If you're not looking for the grants and the opportunities and just a spark to hopefully bring light to what's happening, then nothing happens."

He then urges viewers to not just watch the video, but to visit the site and register to vote.
