DeVon Franklin wants singletons to know that limiting their preferences could lead them to miss out on some great opportunities in their love lives. During a Life Class episode on OWN, Meagan Good's husband admitted that he never thought he'd date an actress and almost blocked what he calls a "blessing."
"What if your greatest blessing is lying on the other side of the very thing you keep rejecting because you don't think it looks like what you want it to look like," Franklin said. "When it came to love and it came to dating, I said I would never date an actress."
Franklin and Good began dating in 2011 and tied the knot in June 2012, a move the preacher and Hollywood executive says he's grateful for every day. The pair covered Ebony's February issue and in it, Franklin penned an open letter to the love of his life.
"I'm amazed at how incredible God really is. How incredible that He chose me with the blessing of loving you," Franklin wrote to his wife. "You are my true love. I can absolutely say I started living when you came into my life. Each day, I'm so grateful that I can love you and be loved by you."
What do you think about his love advice? Do you have limitations on your type when it comes to relationships?
