Former Cooking Channel Host Darryl Robinson Found Dead

Robinson was 50.

Mixologist and television host Darryl Robinson was found dead in his Brooklyn apartment on Wednesday. He was 50.

His body was discovered after a concerned friend called police. Robinson was reportedly fully clothed and found face down in his bed. Police are still investigating the cause of death and an autopsy is pending.

Known by his nickname Dr. Mixologist, Robinson formerly hosted the Cooking Channel show Drink Up and has appeared as a guest on the Wendy Williams Show and Access Hollywood. He frequently shared recipes for his globally-inspired cocktails on his social media accounts, posting his final concoction, a “Smoking Super Bowl Cocktail,” to Twitter on February 1.

“Upon learning of this morning’s sad news, our thoughts go out to Darryl’s family & friends,” a spokesperson from the Cooking Channel said.

Robinson’s assistant Monique confirmed the news on his Facebook page, writing that the mixologist with the megawatt grin was “full of light and charisma.” always gives you the latest fashion and beauty trends, tips and news.
