Alicia Keys Goes Nude to Promote New Charity Campaign

The #WeAreHere movement will bring global social issues to light.

A nude photo of Alicia Keys is making the rounds, but don't worry, she's not part of that celebrity nude photo leak that seems to be targeting so many A-listers in recent days. Instead, the pregnant singer is bearing it all for a good cause — peace and kindness. She announced a new movement named #WeAreHere on her Instagram page this weekend, along with a photo of herself posing with a peace sign painted on her belly.

"It's you and me on a mission to create a kinder and more peaceful world," she wrote. "The #WeAreHere Movement begins today."

The movement's mission is to shed light on a variety of social issues around the world. Celebrities like Kelly Rowland, Jennifer Lopez, and Pharrell have already lent their support and helped spread the message of the new campaign. During a recent visit to the United Nations Foundation’s Social Good Summit, Keys explained her motivation behind the movement's creation.

"As I prepare to give birth to my new child, I can't help but think what world I'm bringing the baby into. We see the state of the world today and we can all feel the frustration and the desire to do something to make it better," she said. "We all want to do something but oftentimes we don't feel empowered. That is why I created 'We Are Here.' Because it's not about me. It's about we.

"I felt that if we could gather a group of really powerful organizations, how many people would want to come out and say 'I believe in that,' or 'That's important to me?' People want to be awakened. So we are here to manifest and empower our community."

The singer also shared a video clip on Instagram to explain the message to her followers and composed a song, "We Are Here," for the campaign.
