Kim Kardashian Chats About Her Social Media Success

The star says she has "a three-image rule" on Instagram.

Kim Kardashian definitely knows how to work the selfie, so it's no wonder that the socialite has earned quite the following on social media and her favorite mobile app, Instagram. During the recent Code Mobile conference in California, Kardashian sat down with Re/code's Kara Swisher to talk about her social media presence and business techniques she's learned from it.

"I'm loving Instagram. I think you can be really creative, and a little more intimate. It has more texture than just words, obviously," Kardashian said before she explaining that she has "a three-image rule. In the same setting, I try not to do more than three. It oversaturates my feed."

For someone as connected as she is, you'd think she'd be fully on board with either team iPhone or team Android, but neither of those truly have her heart. Kardashian went on to gush about the love she has for her Blackberry phone and joked that she should buy the company.

"It's my heart and soul, I love it and I'll never get rid of it," Kardashian said. "I do have an iPhone, and I use it for photos. But if you write an email and you need to type fast — I like having the [key]board. They don't even have them in stores anymore. I buy them on eBay. It's a BlackBerry Bold. And I like to have three in my room that I line up in case they break."

Kardashian is milking her Internet success and this summer she added mobile-app developer to her resume with the release of Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, a free app that lets users pretend to be her for a day and go on shopping sprees by buying virtual dollars with real money. While reports say the game could reach $200 million in revenue this year, Kardashian refused to give any details on how much she's made off the app.

"We'll never talk dollars and cents … It could be more. It could be less. It's been very good to me," she said. always gives you the latest
