Queen Latifah might have had her daytime talk show canceled recently, but perhaps now she’ll have the time to pursue a longtime dream of hers: to become a mom. In an interview with Closer, Latifah reiterated her strong desire to have children.
“I’m always thinking about [becoming a mother]. Hopefully one day it will be my blessing,” she said. “Being a mom is probably the most unselfish thing you can do.”
No word yet on when she’ll begin that journey or what route she’ll take to make it happen, but the 44-year-old said she has no preference on whether she has a boy or a girl.
“It doesn’t matter to me. I just really want to be there for them through adulthood and for the rest of their lives.”
Wishing you the best, Queen.
