The relief efforts for Haiti from the music industry’s finest continue to pour in. This Friday (January 22) Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, John Legend, Rihanna, Wyclef Jean and many more are set to take part in a world wide telethon, “Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief.”
The telethon will commence at 8PM airing live and commercial-free on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, BET, The CW, MTV, VH1 and a handful of other networks. NYC will play host to a bevy of performances from Wyclef Jean, Mary J. Blige as well as Jennifer Hudson, Shakira, Bruce Springsteen, and Sting.
In Los Angeles Alicia Keys, Justin Timberlake, John Legend, Taylor Swift, Stevie Wonder, Sheryl Crow, Kid Rock and Keith Urban will take the stage. Jay-Z, U2, Bono and The Edge, Rihanna and Swizz Beatz will debut their tribute song to Haiti in London.
The two-hour telethon will sport appearances from more than 100 personalities in music, television, sports and film.
“Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief” will air on Friday (January 22) at 8pm.
