After four years of investigation, the murder case of Philant Johnson, T.I.’s best friend and assistant, has finally been solved.
Last Friday (Feb. 5), 41-year old Padron Thomas was sentenced to manslaughter after pleading guilty for his role in Johnson’s murder in 2006. Thomas is set to receive 10 years behind bars after testifying against his brother Hosea Thomas who received 66 years in prison for his involvement.
The Thomas brothers are being held responsible for the killing of Philant Johnson back in 2006 after an altercation erupted inside a Cincinnati nightclub involving T.I.’s camp and the Thomas brothers. While fleeing the scene, the vehicle Johnson was traveling in was sprayed with bullets from a gun Hosea fired. Pardon drove the car from which the bullets were fired from.
Grand Hustle, T.I.’s record label has yet to comment on Thomas’ sentence.
