R.Kelly Talks New World Cup Anthem "Sign Of A Victory"

Published June 10, 2010

R.Kelly is ready to inspire the world again.

For this year's World Cup soccer matches in South Africa, the Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter is hoping his new inspirational opus "Sign Of A Victory" can carry the same message of hope as his uplifting "I Believe I Can Fly" tune from 1996.

The triumphant offering, which features the Soweto Spiritual Singers, was deemed as an "unbelievable" experience by the singer.

Kelly said, in an interview on Wednesday (June 9), "It's definitely no doubt a humanity song, and I'm hoping that everybody feels the same way when they hear it. I'm hoping they can be as touched by it as I was when I heard it in my head."

Reps from R.Kelly's team have yet to announce whether or not the singer will perform the song during the World Cup.
