Soulja Boy Responds to Forbes List

Soulja Boy Responds to Forbes List

Published August 19, 2010

Soulja Boy's pretty boy swag has apparently earned him more money than Forbes gave him credit for.

As previously reported, SB is featured on Hip-Hop Cash Kings, Forbes' annual list of rap's top money makers. According to Forbes, Soulja made $6 million in the past year, placing him in the no. 16 slot and tied with T-Pain. But to let SB tell it, the reports are a bit off.

“I made more than $7 million," he told "I’m sure I made more money than some people on the list.  I’m blessed and grateful to even be on the list 'cause I’ve been in the game since I was 17. I’m 20 now and I’m on a list with people who’ve been in the game for years.”

As previously reported, Jay-Z came in at no. 1 with $63 million, Diddy at no. 2 with $30 million, Akon took the no. 3 spot with $21 million, Lil Wayne ranked fourth with $20 million and Dr. Dre rounded out the Top 5 with $17 million.
