Report: Usher Suffering From Upper Respiratory Illness

Published January 14, 2011

European fans were disappointed when Usher walked off the stage during a concert in Berlin Wednesday night. He then canceled two more upcoming shows in Europe. The R&B superstar appeared faint and apologized to the German audience for his inability to sing. Usher’s rep now tells TMZ the singer is suffering from a serious “respiratory illness.”

“After consultation with doctors, he has been advised to reschedule the upcoming dates in order to get the rest he needs to ensure a complete recovery," the rep explained.

Usher released his own statement about his health. "I deeply regret having to reschedule the shows,” the singer said.  “I am truly sorry for any inconvenience I have caused my fans. My fans are the best in the world and I am looking forward to getting better so that I can give them the show they deserve."

We wish the singer a speedy recovery!
