Looks like Eminem won’t be returning to the silver screen as soon as originally expected. According to Deadline.com, Dreamworks has dropped plans to support the Antoine Fuqua-directed film Southpaw.
Em was cast in the film's starring role as a boxer whose personal struggle was actually inspired by the Detroit rapper himself.
Southpaw, which hasn’t started filming, is currently seeking another backer. Eminem, who hasn't been in a film since the 2002's 8 Mile, has yet to comment on the hiccup in production.
