The tribute concert, Michael Forever, that's scheduled for October 8 in Cardiff, Wales has been marred with controversy from the beginning. Although LaToya Jackson and Michael's mom, Katherine Jackson are supportive of the event other members of the family think that it should not take place while Conrad Murray's  involuntary manslaughter trial is still going on.

Ticket prices range from $55-$450 and were intially lotteried. The option to give a charitable amount on top of the ticket price was offered and those people had a better chance of receiving a seat. Now tickets are being offered as buy one get one free according to, possibly due to financial setbacks that have been incurred because of the widespread negative sentiments of fans. Members of the group "Fans Against the Michael Jackson Forever Tribute" on Facebook are pushing hard for the entire event to be cancelled.

Scheduled performers include Cee Lo Green, Gladys Knight, Smokey Robinson, Leona Lewis, Jamie Foxx and Ne-Yo. Beyonce was supposed to make a satellite performance but just yesterday it was announced that she would now only be making a "special contribution on video." No word on whether this is related to the price slashing on tickets.
