Not your average grandma, Chaka Khan has just been awarded permanent custody of her 10-year-old granddaughter. The ageless music icon will take full guardianship of the girl, Daija Jade Holland, which she will share with her sister, Tammy McCrary, TMZ reports.

Daija's parents, Chaka's son among them, are battling drug addiction and have been deemed incapable of meeting their parental responsibilities.
