For months there’s been speculation on where the Tupac sex tape came from and where it was going. While the source still remains under wraps, its destination is sort of out of the bag now.

According to TMZ, a private buyer has bought the sex tape, which is supposedly dated from 1991.

While there’s no information yet as to who the collector is or for how much the tape was sold for, a source close to the deal tells the website the seller didn’t want to hawk it off to a huge corporation or corporate interest out of principle.

As previously reported a rep for the rapper’s estate was willing to work with a beverage company that wanted the background music that was featured in the video. That bid, which peaked at $1 million, has yet to be resolved.
