Immediately after the sudden death of British soul singer Amy Winehouse, a charity foundation was set up by her family in her honor. Now, after six months of grieving, Amy's father Mitch Winehouse is ready to throw a tribute concert for his daughter and use all the proceeds to benefit the Amy Winehouse Foundation, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

"The Amy Winehouse Foundation is very excited to be planning a benefit concert in tribute to Amy later this year," Mitch told the UK's Press Association. "We will be talking to a variety of people in the coming months and will announce those performing as soon as we can."

The show is being planned as an intimate gathering in which performers that admire Amy as well as musicians whom she herself admired will perform. Lily Allen and Jessie J are in talks so far to honor the U.K. soul singer in the show.

As previously reported, the 27 year-old Winehouse was found dead in her London home on July 23, 2011. Although the cause of death was initially unknown, it was later confirmed that the star had died of alcohol poisoning after battling with drugs and alcoholism many times throughout her career. No drugs were found in her system.

A date for the tribute show has yet to be announced. is your #1 source for Black celebrity news, photos, exclusive videos and all the latest in the world of hip hop and R&B music.
