One of the most anticipated hip hop events of the summer, Hot 97’s Summer Jam 2012 will feature a host of this year’s hottest names in music.

Today the New York-based radio station announced the line-up for the annual concert series. Maybach Music Group will be well represented with Wale, Meek Mill, and of course the boss himself, Rick Ross, all performing. There will definitely be heightened sense of tension in New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium as Atlanta rap star Young Jeezy, a Summer Jam vet, will also be in the building despite his past issues with Ross.

The Snowman won’t be the only ATLien making the trip up I 95. The crowd is sure to get quite unruly when 2 Chainz makes his Summer Jam debut as a solo artist and wild boy Waka Flocka Flame returns to New Jersey to offer up his boisterous brand of music.

Hip hop’s feature king DJ Khaled, always a crowd favorite, will certainly bring out a few surprise guests when he arrives for the 2012 show. Last year’s show he treated the audience to guest spots from Ace Hood and Diddy.

For the second year in row a Young Money artist will serve as the concert's headliner. Nicki Minaj will rep for the YMCMB family along with Tyga, who will likely perform his club banger “Rack City” for the 55,000 plus audience. New York native French Montana will make his Summer Jam debut in front of a hometown crowd, while G.O.O.D Music’s Big Sean, who performed at last year’s pre-show, has graduated to the big stage.

The full lineup for this year will also include Maino, J. Cole, and Trey Songz.

Summer Jam 2012 will take place on June 3 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. is your #1 source for Black celebrity news, photos, exclusive videos and all the latest in the world of hip hop and R&B music.
