Rick Ross is the boss at Maybach Music Group and on the cover of the latest issue of XXL. The Teflon Don gets the long profile treatment on the eve of his highly anticipated new album God Forgives, I Don't and hot on the heels of Self Made: Vol. 2, the compilation album from the MMG crew, which hits stores on June 26.

The story, titled "The Man with the Golden Touch" finds Ross opening up about his health issues and balancing life as a label head and a solo hip hop megastar. Like LeBron James the path to the throne was a turbulent one for this Miami player, but now that he’s been coronated a hip hop king XXL gets the full rundown on the journey.

Also in the issue is an article written by the inimitable and inescapable 2 Chainz, who you can see perform live at the BET Awards '12.

The July/August issue of XXL hits stores July 14.

Ross, who is up for multiple awards including Best Male Hip Hop Artist, is a part of the explosive performance line up at this year’s BET Awards. Rozay and his MMG crew, Meek Mill, Wale, Omarion, will light the big stage up with a magical showing. Count on it!

Tune into BET and Centric on July 1 to watch the BET Awards ’12.
