As the queen of all media, Oprah Winfrey has had memorable sit downs with pop stars and presidents alike, but there's one interview subject who has so far eluded the billionaire mogul's grasp. On Twitter recently, Oprah revealed that she had tried and failed to get Lauryn Hill to appear on her show.

The news came in response to a fan on the micro-blogging site who implored Oprah to "Get Lauryn Hill on your show ASAP!"

In a reply, the talk show host replied, "Tried. She said no."

Though she's been on hiatus from recording music for years, Ms. Hill would nonetheless be a more than suitable candidate for one of Oprah's patented probing sit-downs. The former Fugees star recently landed in major trouble with the IRS for failing to pay taxes in 2005, 2006 and 2007 and is currently facing up to three years in prison.

Just this weekend, Oprah welcomed another headline-stealing pop star, Rihanna, to her couch. The two held court in Rih Rih's native Barbados for the most recent episode of Oprah's Next Chapter. is your #1 source for Black celebrity news, photos, exclusive videos and all the latest in the world of hip hop and R&B music.
