Besides being trailblazing pioneers for the West Coast music scene, after today E-40 and Too Short will have finally reached an elusive goal. Coming together to release their long awaited collaborative effort, History: Mob Music & Function Music, the Bay Area pair put an end to the 10 year wait. With star-studded features that include Tyga, Wiz Khalifa, Ice Cube, Travis Porter and others, 40 Water tells that this history lesson was well worth the wait and is the perfect blend of old school meets new school bangers.

"This project was a long time coming, we covered all bases for the loyal fans and the new ones too," says E-40. "This album is your own personal ride to history lesson."

And to help keep the lecture going, Short Dawg and E-Fonzarelli follow up the album’s first single, "Say I," featuring Wiz with the new bouncy Tyga-assisted hit "Slide Through." Pulling in productions from a slew of producers like Rick Rock and E-40’s weebalization (son) producer Droop-E, 40 says the ode to the Bay Area is an instant classic as well as another opportunity for him and Too Short to set more trends.

"This ain’t never been done before," E-40 exclaims. "This is a classic album no matter how you slice it. We're making it cool to be in your '40s and make music, we’re making history."
